What can Grabba Plate do for me?

Unlike traditional catering service, our unique service provides you with your own personal Chef who will come to your home and create healthy and delicious meals for your family and friends or, by working along with us, help you learn how to prepare the selected meal. Your personal, traveling Chef is also available for those special occasions as well

Monday thru Saturday, by appointment only.

How do we come up with a menu?

Your personal, traveling Chef will meet with you to discuss the particular event you are planning and, in the process, will help you select the appropriate menu for the occasion. If you have a favorite family recipe you would like us to prepare, we will be happy to review it and discuss preparation.

What are your rates?

Rates vary depending on the event and needs of the client. Give us a call and we will be happy to meet with you, discuss your needs and provide you with a FREE estimate of the total costs.

What portion of the total cost must I put down to secure the date of the event?

We require payment in full to secure the event.

What if I want to cancel the date of the event?

Events must be canceled at least 30 days prior to the scheduled date to receive a full refund.

Is sales tax included?

Yes, sales tax, where applicable, is included in the final cost/estimate.

How will we make arrangements for the appointed time and place?

Initial contact may be by phone, email or via the online inquiry form on our website. Afterwards, we will contact you to schedule a FREE consultation to discuss your needs.

What happens on the day of the event?

On the day of the event, we gather our supplies. The Chef will go to the grocery store to purchase all of the food needed in order to prepare the meal. If the client would like to come, they are welcome. Then, we return to the residence and prepare the meal. The arrival time of the chef depends on the needs of the client.

Do we cook food for special occasions?

Yes. We have prepared special meals for birthdays, anniversary dinners, baby showers, outdoor barbecues and many other occasions..

Do we provide cooking equipment? (Pots, pans, utensils, etc.)

If our clients do not have the cooking equipment or utensils needed to prepare the meal, we can bring our own. However, given transport and cleaning, an extra charge may apply.

Are there any limitations on your “Immediate Service Area?”

No. Your Grabba Plate Personal Chef is willing to travel to any location for the planned event. In fact, our plans are to extend our services internationally as well. Obviously, additional charges are applied for travel time and expenses. .

Are cooking classes available?

Yes, fees may vary.
